Welcome to Moonrise Themes. By completing a purchase or downloading any theme file from our site, you enter into a binding agreement with us based on the terms outlined below. These Terms govern your use of our Ghost themes and any associated digital materials ("the Products").

Please read them carefully before completing your order.

1. What Your Purchase Includes

When you buy a theme from us, you receive a license for one theme to be installed on a single Ghost instance - whether that site belongs to you or to a client you are building for.

This license covers:

  • One website only. The theme may not be transferred to, or used on, additional sites.
  • 6 months of technical support, beginning on the day we confirm your purchase.
  • Ongoing access to minor updates and patches for the theme, for as long as the theme remains active in our catalog.

You are explicitly not permitted to:

  • Sell, sublicense, share, or distribute the theme files (whether unchanged or modified) to any third party.
  • Bundle the theme into a larger offering for resale.

2. Support Scope and Limitations

We stand behind our work and are happy to help you get up and running. However, it is important to be clear about what falls within our support commitment and what does not.

Our support team can assist you with:

  • Initial theme installation and basic configuration.
  • Resolving verified bugs or errors within the theme's core code.
  • Answering questions about how to use built-in theme features.

Our support team cannot assist you with:

  • Writing custom code, adding new functionality, or modifying the theme's design beyond its existing settings.
  • Troubleshooting issues caused by third-party software, custom integrations, or hosting environments.
  • General guidance on using the Ghost platform itself.

Support automatically ends 6 months after your purchase date. Once support expires, we are no longer obligated to provide updates or respond to support requests, though we may choose to do so at our discretion.

3. Our Policy on Refunds

Purchases are processed by our trusted payment partner.

14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Under UK and EU consumer law, you have a 14-day right to cancel your purchase. Because our products are digital downloads that are delivered immediately, this right is typically waived at checkout when you agree to receive the theme right away.

Refunds for Defective Products

If your theme is faulty, not as described, or does not work as advertised, please contact us at support@moonrisethemes.com . We will work to resolve the issue. If we cannot fix it, we will issue a full refund.

Refunds Are Not Provided For:

  • Change of mind after you have started using the theme.
  • Issues caused by third-party code, custom modifications, or hosting environments.
  • Incompatibility with older Ghost versions.

Refunds are processed at our discretion and handled by our trusted payment partner, who will issue the refund to your original payment method.

4. System Requirements and Compatibility

Our themes are developed and tested against the most current stable release of Ghost CMS.

Because of this, we cannot guarantee that a theme will work flawlessly on:

  • Outdated versions of Ghost.
  • Instances that have been heavily customized or altered.
  • Environments running additional plugins or non-standard server configurations.

It is your responsibility to ensure your Ghost installation meets our recommended requirements before purchasing.

5. Ownership and Usage Rights

All intellectual property—including design, layout, source code, and visual assets—contained within our themes remains the exclusive property of Moonrise Themes.

Your purchase grants you a usage license, not a transfer of ownership. This means you are authorized to use the theme on your project, but you do not acquire any rights to the underlying work.

Under no circumstances may you:

  • Present the theme as your own original creation.
  • Redistribute or republish the theme files in any form.
  • Use the theme as a base for developing a competing product.

6. Limitation of Liability

We provide our Products on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the performance, reliability, or fitness of the Products for any particular purpose.
  • We shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of our Products.
  • In any case, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you actually paid for the relevant Product.

7. Account Access and Download Management

To access your purchased files, you may be required to create a user account on our site.

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have violated these Terms.
  • Restrict download access in cases of suspected fraudulent activity or abuse.
  • Update or adjust account features as needed to improve security or user experience.

8. Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our business practices or legal obligations. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.

Your continued use of our Products after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the Products.
